Calabro's Mrs. Terhune Wins Hudson County Teacher of the Year
On Friday, May 19, Calabro School began its monthly meeting with a school tradition of taking a moment for personal reflection. As our school year is rapidly coming to a close, it is essential to pause and think of how we can navigate these last few weeks with the same kindness, perseverance, and intention that we started with in September! A huge congratulations was given to Ms. Terhune, who was recognized as the Hudson County Teacher of the Year! Dr. Ramos from the Hudson County Office of the New Jersey State Department of Education, Dr. Johnson, Mr. Fitzhugh, Mr. Kluepfel and Dr. Vespignani all joined in the celebration, commending Ms. Terhune for her incredible work with our students. As Ms. Monblatt led the school Chorus in a surprise rendition of “I’ll Stand By You”, Ms. Terhune’s past, present, and future students sang words of comfort, loyalty, and compassion, the same sentiments Ms. Terhune gives to her students on a daily basis. Congratulations to Ms. Terhune from the entire school community! We are lucky to have you and you make us proud every day!
