On Friday February 24, PLTW students from Computer Science, Engineering, Biomedical Science and 8th Grade Algebra Honors visited Google’s NYC Headquarters at 111 8th Avenue. Students toured Google’s office, which encompasses two city blocks and an office space larger than the Empire State Building.
Gregory Bond, a former university professor and current Google Software Engineer spoke to our students about what it takes to work at Google. “You don’t need to be a genius, but you do need to put forth maximum effort.”
Students got a special lesson from Dr. Bond on Python Programming, and how it can be used to solve real-world problems before heading back to Hoboken.
